Cade's soccer team played a make-up game tonight. The entire team played very well and they won 8-4. They are undefeated at this point, 5-0. It's funny at the beginning of the season when I was just watching practice, the team looked so small. I thought they would struggle. But they have dominated most games. Cade is playing very well. The first couple games, Cade played mainly offense and then goalie. So he scored a couple goals the first 2 games. Now he's been playing defense, along with forward, and goalie. So I know he's a little disappointed that he has not scored a goal this past few games, but he's been playing tough.

Reid played a tough soccer team today. He is such a little warrior. I don't think the child would back down if the other player was Pele. It cracks me up. Today was their first loss. It came down to the very end. The other team won 2-1. It was Reid's first game that he did not score, so he was a little bummed.

FAT FROG

At this point, Reid has caught numerous bull frogs. It's his favorite after school activity. But I just thought this picture was worth posting. This frog looks like it goes through the fast food pick-up lane every night.

Future Teenager on her Laptop

This is an old toy that Busia got the boys. Trey and Reid will still play it on occasion, but mostly Aleah turns it on and off to hear the music.

Bull Frog Hunting

Reid's been obsessed with catching a bull frog in the pond back behind our duplex. Well, yesterday after school he managed to catch one. I saw him from the kitchen window and grabbed my mom's camera, because I still did not put the battery in my own. The two neighbor kids were out looking in amazement at his catch, but then once Aleah came out they were more interested in her. funny...

Reid let this one go and then proceded to catch another even bigger bull frog. I did not get pictures of it because they dropped it on the cement and I thought I better have them get the giant frog back out to the pond.

Trey Goes to the Farm

I had decided that I was going to go on this field trip with Trey and take pictures. He was very excited and I have missed several parties because preschool is during Aleah's naps. So I told his teachers the day before that I would be going.

So it was a crazy morning, we had put an offer on a house the night before and I was on the phone with our realtor working out details. Then Trey had speech. We came home, my realtor came to the house to give me more papers and get our earnest money. Fed Trey and Aleah lunch and we were back out the door.

Colin and Mrs. Maris ended up riding with me. Which was fine, other than my van was gross. Trey was happy that Mrs. Maris rode with him. We got there and I went to take a picture of the whole group. I NEVER PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN MY CAMERA! My camera had died at the soccer games on Sat., failure one and now I had forgot to put it back in, failure two.

So I took the camera back to my van. To be honest the field trip was not great. I thought it would be a little more interactive, but basically the kids walked around and saw animals in little pens. They did get to pet the baby sheep and chick.

We went back to preschool and there was only 45 min. left to class. Aleah was done. So I was going to just take Trey and her home. Trey quickly caught on that I was trying to take him home early and started crying. Nathan's mom offered to bring him home and I took her up on the offer.

So Trey's highlights were: Mrs Maris rode in my car and Nathan's mom brought me home.

Easter

Grandma was at our house Easter morning. It was a very nice and relaxing morning, other than Craig informed me that he had changed his mind about a house we were considering buying. Ahh.. the house hunt.. that deserves a post all of its own. Anyway, we got the kids all ready and then went out on the front steps for a photo shoot. Of course it did not go well. Why do I ever think I want to actually be a photographer? Then my second camera died, my other camera had died at soccer games the day before. These pictures are actually pictures that my mom took and I cropped.

We went to church and played on the church playground after service and then came home for a yummy Sunday meal. It was a beautiful day. We went for a walk and played out in the back yard. It's not very often that we are blessed with such beautiful weather on Easter, and we very much enjoyed it!
