Undefeated

Cade had his last regular season soccer game Saturday. They won 5-3.

Cade started the game playing goalie. He had 4 stops.
He played sweeper and then center offense. Although he never had a shot, he had a couple crucial passes and assists. He and Cameron played very well together. Everyone was having a rather sluggish game and then the 2 of them scored two quick goals and pulled ahead of the other team.

Reid pulled out his second front tooth tonight when we came home from Cade's baseball game.

Another Win for the Cubs

We had our first warm baseball game. It was even a little on the sticky side. So it felt a little more like baseball than the night before when I was shivering. Reid and I played a little catch during Cade's warm-up. It was shockingly enjoyable. I have never been much of a baseball/softball player.

Cade's team played well tonight. I don't think they hit as well as they did their first game, but definitely made fewer errors in the field.

Cade did not see much action in the field. The ball only came his way once or twice. His team won the game by one run. I was rather glad, because the other coaches were obnoxious. Which made me thankful for Cade's coach.

Baseball Season Begins

Reid had his first baseball game on Monday night. We've been juggling soccer and baseball practices for the past month. They take their baseball pretty serious around here. Cade had 3 practices a week and Reid had 2, each one for an hour and a half. It's a fun time, but can get very crazy very quickly with 2 boys playing 2 sports.

Look at that power stance. Reid had 3 good hits in his first game. This time up to bat, the pitcher sent the ball to him to early. He hit it and then they called him back and made him bat again. So I guess you could say he had 4 good hits.

It was a good first game. I really have no idea who won. I missed a lot of the game taking Cade to soccer practice and then picking him up from soccer practice. And truthfully, I don't think I would have know even if I was there. There are so many errors and runs in these games, it's hard to keep track.

Starship Sonshine

Tonight was Trey's preschool Spring program. I have been attending preschool programs every year since Cade started preschool in 2003. Yes, that's 7 years straight of preschool and preschool programs. It's kind of weird to think that next year I won't be driving anyone to preschool. Alright, I will still be going back and forth to kindergarten, but not preschool.

Last nights program was nice and more importantly Trey did a great job. He sang all the songs and did all the motions. He was VERY cute and VERY happy!


Cade did not really want to come, but once he got over acting like a teenager he was ready to watch his little brother.


Aleah has a snotty cold. So daddy was trying to get ready to film Trey's performance, but had to keep wiping a little nose.

Trey got to stand between his buddy, Nathan and his future wife, Julie. I should tell the Julie story now. Trey chose this little ring as his prize at his speech evaluation. His teachers thought he was going to walk out and give it to me. This of course was not the case. A couple weeks ago he picked up the ring and informed me that he was taking it to school that day and was going to marry Julie. He got very angry when I would not let him take it to school, and informed me that he had to marry Julie today. Ahh... aren't little boys suppose to want to marry their moms? Not mine.

After the performance we went outside and the kids all got a popsicle for the refreshments.
It was a fun night. And as I was putting the boys in bed, Trey was just laying in bed going 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 blast-off..... normally I would have told him to be quiet, but it was so precious I just sat there listening to him say it again and again as he fell asleep.
